This awareness course covers anaphylactic reactions in both adults and children, the correct administration of adrenaline (epinephrine), drug incompatibilities, contraindications and enables participants to differentiate between anaphylactic reactions and panic attacks. Please note: A competency framework is included in this training. Competency is achieved in the workplace following the training using a competency template. This is a combined course designed for healthcare professionals, who in the course of their duties may have to administer medicine and need to either refresh their skills or wish to learn more about medication.
At the end of the Care of Medicine & Administration training course attendees will be familiar with current legislation, drug categories, labelling, prescriptions, drug administration and the accompanying paper work. Attendees will also be involved in demonstrations on the administration of tablets, capsules, creams, ointments, fluids, inserting drops to ear, nose, or eye and inhaled medication.Catheter Care

Good catheter care involves good hygiene, observation, monitoring well-being and prevention of issues associated with catheterisation.
