Good catheter care involves good hygiene, observation, monitoring well-being and prevention of issues associated with catheterisation. By the end of this catheter course training, attendees will be familiar with reasons for catheterisation, the equipment selection and the theory of catheter removal.
Diabetes & Insulin / BGM

This Diabetes & Insulin training course caters for those working with or who are responsible for the welfare and wellbeing of people with diabetes, this includes healthcare professionals not specialising in diabetes. The course aims to teach attendees how to recognise the symptoms of diabetes, any signs of complications, to raise awareness of treatments and to build confidence in staff when supporting and caring for those suffering from diabetes. This Wound Management course is designed for nurses and health care assistants involved in caring for patients with chronic and acute wounds.
As a result of this session each candidate will have greater appreciation of wound types and the appropriate techniques to manage them effectively.
Enteral Feeding

This Enteral or PEG Feeding training course is designed to increase awareness of enteral feeding and to provide the delegate with the practical knowledge to deal with this feeding method. In the United Kingdom it is estimated that over 10,000 individuals will be tube fed in the community which is double the number in hospitals. Protocols and procedures for clinically qualified staff who are administering feeds & medications can also be included in the course, although competency must be assessed within the scope of the delegates own organisation’s policy guidelines. The applied practical workstation & simulated practical assessment can only be provided if the equipment is available on site. Please note: A competency framework is included in this training. Venepuncture

This Venepuncture training course is designed for all RGNs, enrolled nurses and qualified staff who may have not conducted venepuncture before or require a refresher to update their skill set.
This venepuncture training course will update your theory skills and provide the opportunity for practice before carrying out the procedure in a work environment. Following the theory of venepuncture there will be a practical session designed to offer all participants to put their skills into practice in a controlled environment.

Oxygen Therapy

The provision of oxygen as part of the basic life support process is not difficult and training can easily be incorporated into a primary care training programme.
