This is a combined course designed for healthcare professionals, who in the course of their duties may have to administer medicine and need to either refresh their skills or wish to learn more about medication.
At the end of the Care of Medicine & Administration training course attendees will be familiar with current legislation, drug categories, labelling, prescriptions, drug administration and the accompanying paper work. Attendees will also be involved in demonstrations on the administration of tablets, capsules, creams, ointments, fluids, inserting drops to ear, nose, or eye and inhaled medication.Clinical Supervision

Defibrillation & Airway Management

This Defibrillation and Airway Management training course is for people who wish to learn how to use an automated external defibrillator (A.E.D.).
The device can be used to administer measured electric shocks to people in cardiac arrest and is the best way of increasing the chance of survival and includes airway management.ECG Interpretation

ECG Interpretation will appeal to healthcare professionals who are involved in recording and interpreting ECG’s.
It is suitable for all grades of staff as it begins with a basic overview and builds up to an advanced level. There are no pre course requirements for this course. Please note: Competency is achieved in the workplace following the training using a competency framework. Each procedure needs to be signed off by a qualified, senior member of staff as part of their personal development plan or supervision.Epilepsy Awareness & Rescue Medication

This Epilepsy Awareness training course is aimed at those working with or responsible for the welfare and well being of individuals with epilepsy.
Training will facilitate best practice guidelines and ensure that all attending will have the skills and knowledge to provide a safe, effective environment for people with epilepsy.IV Drug Therapy

This IV Drug Therapy course is designed for all nurses who want to enhance their IV Therapy knowledge and skills including administration of Intravenous Medication as part of their clinical practice updates.
The course provides the chance to practice the skill in a controlled environment. This is a hands-on training course and we encourage participation in all the practical demonstrations and activities. On successful completion students will be awarded a certificate of attendance and are required to gain competency under clinical supervision within their own workplace.
