Pressure Area Care & Tissue Viability

This Pressure Area Care and Tissue Viability course is designed for carers and RGN’s who may need to update their skill and knowledge on the topics of pressure area care and tissue viability (prevention and management of wounds) including aspects of skin and soft tissue wounds.

This Palliative Care training course is best run for either care staff or trained staff but not a mixed group as their needs are very different.
It is designed for people new to this field or as a refresher. This should be viewed as an overview as palliative care is a diverse topic with many factors dependent to the patients specific needs. This course allows people to discuss their own feelings/experiences of dealing with a life limiting illness.
Syringe Driver Awareness

This Syringe Driver Awareness training course covers a range of issues associated with this form of medication delivery, in order to provide a highly practical resource for nurses and health professionals.
The Syringe Driver Awareness training course begins by introducing syringe drivers and their use in palliative care. Subsequently, the procedures for preparing the patient and driver, and for commencing the infusion, are outlined. Finally, a number of troubleshooting ideas and the practical application of syringe driver are presented.
