Subsequently, the procedures for preparing the patient and driver, and for commencing the infusion, are outlined. Finally, a number of troubleshooting ideas and the practical application of syringe driver are presented.

Please note: For the practical element of this course to take place your specific equipment needs to be available on-site. A competency framework is included in this training. Competency is achieved in the workplace following the training. Each procedure needs to be signed off by a qualified, senior member of staff. The completed document can then be used to identify the individuals’ competence.
